Mission and History

We were formed in 1981 and recognized as a 501c3
organization in 1982. Our mission is two-fold: to raise
funds which support classes and programs at the Senior
Center and to advocate for issues of concern to Acton’s
seniors.
Through our support a wide range of opportunities are
offered, free of charge to seniors living in Acton. Their variety indicates our recognition that Acton’s population
is growing and diversifying.
In 2018, on behalf of Acton’s seniors, we made a major
gift to help fund furnishings for our new Senior Center, at 30
Sudbury Road Rear, Acton, MA 01720.
Our annual appeal in December and our annual Holiday Fair on a Saturday
in November are the major sources of the funds we
raise. Dining for a cause, and button battery collection are
others. We thank you for attending and supporting us.
