Live Folk Music Hootenanny Featuring Music of Peter, Paul and Mary

Musicians Howie Rashba and Mel Green will perform gems from the music of the folk
music band Peter, Paul and Mary. Whether you are a seasoned Hootenanny fan or
experiencing one for the first time, this is your opportunity to share in a spirited
tradition! You will be invited to sing along to many of the songs. Hootenanny is a term
with Scotch-Irish roots that found its way to Appalachia before being popularized in the
1940s by folk legends like Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger. Sing along, clap your
hands, stomp your feet, and brighten your day! There will be a brief intermission with refreshments.
Howie Rashba and Mel Green have delighted local audiences with their warmth and music including at
the New England Folk Festival and their Hootenanny at the Senior Center last fall was a huge hit!
Open to all age 60+/free
